At the Corner of Conversation and Action

Combining their M.F.A thesis shows previously on display at The Jessie, Nikki Rakov and Rachel Korzeb explore themes of secrecy and the choices women make to gain agency. Rakov reimagines women’s histories through folklore and mysticism, blending Anglo-Celtic folk magic with personal experiences to create authentic and inspiring works of art. Korzeb examines the interconnectedness of human lives, with emphasis on the divine feminine and observations about today’s youth, technology, human footprint and the supernatural.
